Spring Cleaning

My art work has gotten a little side tracked these days. We had a gorgeous week last week- mid to high 60's all week long. I just couldn't help but start some spring cleaning. My studio is getting a major overhaul, so everything is topsy turvy. Hoping to finish the cleaning soon and get back to work in a very neat and organized work space (ha.. that'll last for about a week :).

Anyway, I did finish this one painting. I started it on a whim and I'm not sure if I'll end up doing anything with it. I guess I was inspired by the beautiful weather last week, that just happened to follow a terribly stormy weekend. I was reminded that storms pass- no matter how nasty they are, the sun eventually ends up shining again. It really works the same way in our lives. Sometimes it just feels like there's a dark, nasty storm cloud hanging over you, then one day you wake up and realize that it's gone and life starting to look kind of bright again. This little painting is just a reminder of that fact. Things may get gray and dreary, but the sun will eventually shine ...
